RSPB WILD CHALLENGE

Posted by Jacqueline Ashurst on

This summer Thea Outdoors and The Moorlands Caravan Park will be working towards our RSPB WILD CHALLENGE awards and we encourage you to take part too! Our family love being outside and what could be better than free activities to keep them entertained, give them some fresh air and learn about wildlife.

Our first activity will be 'Count your wildlife miles'

This week will take a walk instead of using the car!

Wildlife has no choice but to use the power of its wings, fins and feet to move and some species make amazing migrations. Although we won't be able to match a proportion of the efforts of some amazing creatures we will do our bit.

Not only is it good for your health it also enables you to do your bit for environment. Remember always take a parent /guardian with you.

Did you know?

A painted lady butterfly travels a total of eight miles per day.

A brent goose travels travelling 13 miles per day.

A  swooping swift  travels 30 miles per day

A cuckoo travels 50 miles per day
